In the white-collar world, Kevin O'Connell is a civil engineer. But as soon as the longtime Denver resident ditches his briefcase and calculator, he's a photographer---with a civil engineer's mind. For decades, O'Connell has been obsessed with lines, horizons, and energy development on the Eastern Plains. His early photographs, mostly black-and-white images, capture silos and office buildings dwarfed by sprawling skies. His new images flip that perspective.
