I called Boulder Beer yesterday in a panic.
I had looked all over town for their very recently released Cold Hop British-Style Ale, which is available only through October. They told me not to worry: The brew is in bottles, and Denver liquor stores should have it in stock by the end of the week.
Good thing, because this six-pack is an antidote for the end-of-summer blues, with its sweet, malty weight coming in at 6.8 percent ABV. These malts are nicely balanced, and the beer is dry-hopped (meaning the hops are added after the beer is cooked)---resulting in a cool, floral hops flavor that can help you ignore August's oppressive heat.

This is probably the best IPA I have had in a while. I hope they continue to brew this beer, and not just a seasonal.
