Recession Date: Cheap Eats and a Free Day at the Museum

dmnsLabor Day weekend can make a dent in the wallet, so I set out to find a fun, free way to spend a lazy Sunday. Luckily, there's also a new "stimulus package" that turns this outing into an affordable weekend date. First, let's talk grub. The Tavern---which has locations uptown and downtown, as well as in Lowry, Wash Park, and the Tech Center---is offering a new set of specials they've deemed a "stimulus package." All day Sunday, food specials are offered, including $1 sliders, $.50 wings, and $10 large pizzas. Plus, get Bud and Bud Light drafts for just $3. This Sunday is also a free day at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Be sure to check out Expedition Health. This highly interactive exhibit about the human body typically requires advanced reservations, so get there early to get your free timed ticket.

I hope everyone will come take advantage of our great new Tavern Stimulus Package. I wanted to make one correction. The food specials on Sunday are actually all day long, so they'll be in play during all Sunday football games. Also on Sundays, $4 Three Olives Vodka drinks! Come enjoy!!
