Long a Boulder lunch fixture, Snarf's landed in Denver a few months ago. Since then, the Capitol Hill sandwich shop (located on 11th Avenue across the street from Potager) has done brisk business. For the uninitiated, the offerings range from standard (i.e. ham and cheese) to inspired eats like rotisserie chicken with Swiss or barbecue brisket and Swiss. All orders come with the fixings---mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion---and Snarf's dynamite hot-pepper relish. A few moments under the broiler doesn't hurt either. Of the almost 20 sandwiches on the menu, my staples are the veggie (jammed with provolone, sprouts, and avocado) and the meaty Italian with salami, pepperoni, capocolla, mortadella, and provolone. 1001 E. 11th Ave., 303-832-9999
