Where to Buy Local, Handmade Gifts This Weekend

dollsForget Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Here in Denver, it's Buy Local Week until December 6, and everyone can celebrate this weekend at Fancy Tiger Craft's Holiday Handmade craft fair. (Dolls at right are from local crafter Sarah H. Chung of Pins & Pearls.) Holiday Handmade, which promises 60 vendors, takes place on Friday, from 6-9 p.m, and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the South Broadway Christian Church at 23 Lincoln St. Not all featured crafters are local, but they are all bringing and selling handmade wares. robotbutton Let's take a sneak peek at some of the local vendors who will be there: I'm loving Shut Your Button, which offers wee gifts, including the adorable robot buttons pictured on the left. Also, check out the zipper pulls and key chains, which I'm already imagining on my favorite hoodie... I mean, buying as a gift for a friend. notebook Make My Notebook (right) lets you design your own journals and reporter notebooks, great for note-taking in style, as well as gift ideas for your writing-inclined friends.
