MM Local Is a Must

I crave summer most around this time of year. A Palisade peach or a sun-warmed tomato would taste extra sweet right about now---and thanks to MM Local Foods, they do. This local company---owned and operated by Jim Mills and Ben Mustin---puts up jars of Western Slope peaches, Front Range tomatoes, and local hot peppers. Pop the tops for flavors that are fresh and full of sunshine. Best of all, each jar's lid has a tracking code, so you can pinpoint the ingredients' origin. My organic peaches (preserved with Colorado honey) came from Morton's Orchards in Palisade, while the organic tomatoes with basil came from Full Circle Farms in Longmont. While delicious straight out of the jar, the peaches really sing when spooned over vanilla ice cream, plain yogurt, or homemade waffles. As for the tomatoes, they're excellent over a fried egg or added to pasta. Bonus: Check here for recipes and tips---and submit your own. Find MM products at Pome, EVOO Marketplace, Spinelli's Market, and St. Kilian's Cheese Shop.

Yeah, they have Denver locations. This page on their website has that info: http://mmlocalfoods.com/where-to-find-us/

The peaches are like nothing I have tasted before. You can tell that some TLC went into making them. There really is nothing else like them.

I just tried a variety of MM Local foods: Peaches, Tomatoes, Chile Peppers. Outstanding! You can find them in Denver at EVOO Marketplace, Pome, Spinelli's Market, and St. Killian's Cheese Shop. Also in Boulder at Dish Gourmet. A great way to enjoy the Colorado harvest year round!

sounds delicious - do you know if they're sold at any denver stores?
