Earlier this month, billionaire Sir Richard Branson was at the stormy Mojave Spaceport in California, surrounded by 800 members of the press, future space travelers, and other guests to roll out SpaceShipTwo, the world's first commercial spaceliner. While the journeys are months, maybe even two years, away, tickets are on sale now, via Branson's Virgin Galactic. And they'll cost you. The ride is $200,000, and deposits start at $20,000. Now that you've got your checkbook out, if you live near Denver, you can talk to Ezana Araya of Andavo Travel Incorporated, one of just 120 "accredited space agents" around the world who is able to sell tickets for the journeys. Araya now believes he is just one of two space-accredited agents in the state, with the other located in Aspen. "We're really interested in finding out what the responses are going to be," he tells the Denver Business Journal. Construction on a spaceport has begun in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, which will be the launch site for the spacecraft.
