I've been posting gift ideas all month, but if you're anything like me, you've just started shopping. It's OK, procrastinators; we can make this happen. Even if you're busy at work until the moment you leave, these online options are easy and also help support local retailers and artists. Buy local. We've already celebrated Buy Local Week, but there's no reason you can't keep celebrating through the holidays. Head to Coloradolocalfirst.com, where you can search for local businesses where you can find the perfect gift, and tuggl, a local Web site that rates businesses by their goods and services, as well as by how much they give back to the community. Holiday cards. Need a batch of cards to pair with your gifts? You can get handmade cards from Jennifer Mason's Etsy shop. They're all hand-stamped and colored, and cost just $4.50 (plus shipping) for a pack of six cards with envelopes. Gifts for kiddos. If you've got little ones on the list, check out these handmade knitted hats. Inside is a layer of fleece with a cute animal print. (And they're reversible.) If your wee friend is a doll fan, be sure to check out these handmade German dolls. I particularly like the tiny pocket dolls, pictured above.
