Some things are meant for pairing, such as appetizer-size eats and an after-work drink. Restaurants and bars have been combining the two for years, and now Morton’s the Steakhouse has joined the happy hour mix.

Check out the new Bar Bites menu for seven small dishes at $5 each. Don’t miss the decadent blue cheese fries (the melted blue cheese with chives and french-fried potatoes dish is deceptively light), the Prime cheeseburger sliders with buttered buns, or the fresh, miniature crab cakes (but skip the mustard mayo dipping sauce).

Pass on the Chicken Goujonettes—a fancy word for chicken fingers—which are overly fried and unexciting. While the filet mignon sandwich is tasty, there isn’t enough beef to compete with the oversized sesame bun.

Available daily during Power Hour, from 5–6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.–close.
