CU Ethnic Studies Professor Ward Churchill has filed his response to last week’s report finding he engaged in plagiarism and other scholarly misdeeds. Shorter version: He will not be going quietly into the night.

He denounced the allegations against him as unfounded.

They were “simply a pretext to penalize constitutionally protected speech.”

A final decision is expected in June, after which, if Gov. Owens and Bill O’Reilly have their way, we won’t have Ward Churchill to kick around any more. We’ll only have a lawsuit against CU for damages to Churchill as a result of his firing.
