Sketch Expands Into Breakfast and Lunch

In the last year, Sketch, Jesse Morreale and Sean Yontz's Broadway wine and salumi bar, has become one of my go-to spots for a glass of vino and a dish of Amarena cherries. And now, with the advent of coffee, morning, and lunch menus, there's more to love. The quick-service eats include breakfast panini, yogurt and fresh fruit, oatmeal, bagels, and smoothies. Sketch serves Pablo's Coffee, but the real coup is the barista, who hails from the lauded Paris on the Platte. Lunch includes pressed sandwiches on wheat or sourdough. Thus far, my top pick is the slightly spicy capicola with goat cheese and tomatoes, followed closely by the Virginia ham with white cheddar and slices of Yontz's zippy house-made pickles. Next up: The roasted red pepper, dry jack, and caramelized onion sandwich. Check out Sketch's new offerings, beginning at 6 a.m. Monday through Friday and at 7 a.m. on the weekends. Of course, the wine bar still stays open until 2 a.m. every day. 101 N. Broadway, 303-484-9305
