To Catch an iPad Thief

It didn't seem possible. The surveillance video from the Cherry Creek Mall of a man grabbing a shopping bag with an iPad in it, wrenching a victim's pinky finger so badly in the process it had to be amputated, was so grainy. And there just doesn't ever seem to be justice for this sort of crime. But police have arrested a suspect: Brandon Darnell Smith. The 20-year-old alleged thief was nabbed early Saturday morning during a traffic stop in the 3000 block of North Monaco Street (via The Denver Post). No other details were available about the arrest in a story that spawned headlines around the nation last week.
