One More Free Movie for Earth Month

It’s been an eventful Earth Month, from Denver launching the largest bike-rental program in the nation to learning how to make our own green spring-cleaning products. We only have a few days left to celebrate, so head to the Denver Public Library downtown tonight to enjoy the last movie in its Food Fight: Retaking Our Plates series, co-sponsored by Whole Foods Market. The Garden is an Academy-Award-nominated documentary about a community effort in Los Angeles that helped to inspire healing after the 1992 riots. It shows how transformative gardens can be to cities, as well as the battle between urban farmers and the developers who wanted to bulldoze the garden in L.A. The film starts at 6 p.m. and will be shown in the B2 Level Conference Center at the Central Library.
