Free Wildflower Hikes for Mother’s Day

If you want a variation on packed brunches and city parks, head up to Lookout Mountain Nature Center for two free Mother's Day hikes on Sunday. Starting at 1 p.m., choose from two group hikes, the half-mile loop or the one-mile loop, that include a tour and discussion about wildflowers throughout the Lookout Mountain Nature Preserve. But don't worry: If mom is acclimating to Colorado’s elevation, these hikes are billed as accessible to all ability levels. The hikes are free, but you’re asked to register, either by calling 720-497-7600 or by registering online.
