I'm guilty of taking a few showers a day.. Working as a tech on the field it's definitely hard to restrain from taking numerous showers a day.. Hearing about the amount of water we will have in 20 years is very scary.. I hope to make my showers 2-3min less each time! I hope I can contribute and do my part. I also hope more people realize all the water wasted and will start conserving more.

if cutting a shower by two minutes can save 150 gallons a month, assuming daily showers that is 2.5 gallons per minute (gpm) -- basically you have a really wasteful showerhead, and a low-flow (1 gpm) showerhead would probably make a bigger difference any reduction is good, but please don't stop there; as the article you cited mentions, landscaping, toilets and laundry are much bigger targets for seriously reducing water consumption
