Despite the team's share of injuries and slumps so far, the Colorado Rockies' 3-2 victory Tuesday night over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Coors Field pulls the baseball club above .500 for the season and just four games off the division lead. Pitcher Jhoulys Chacin earned his third win of the year---and the Rockies' third in a row---by pitching very well, allowing just four hits and two walks (via The Denver Post). The surprisingly error-prone Colorado defense didn't commit any mistakes, and third baseman Ian Stewart flashed his glove for a couple amazing outs. The bats also woke up, with outfielder Brad Hawpe getting his first home run since April 21. Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki extended his hitting streak to nine straight games---along with the mullet he's growing for charity, and he sent one ball over the fence for his fourth home run in five games. Meanwhile, catcher Chris Iannetta will return to the team after a stint in the minors to regain his offensive confidence. Iannetta has found his groove in Colorado Springs, according to 9 News, hitting .349 with five home runs and 21 runs batted in during his month-long demotion. With his improved play and good attitude in the minors, there are rumors the Rockies might trade Iannetta, and at least one fan base---that of the Boston Red Sox--really wants him, according to Fire Brand of the American League. The Rockies haven't indicated Iannetta is on the trading block; general manager Dan O'Dowd tells ESPN, "He has addressed his swing mechanics, shown a great attitude, and done everything we have asked."
