No Bikes Ever on 16th Street Mall?

Back in April, three Regional Transportation District buses were involved in major accidents, causing several deaths and severe injuries. It looked like the incidents had subsided, a bad chapter from a particularly cruel month for RTD. But Sunday night, an RTD bus collided with a cyclist on the 16th Street Mall, near the intersection with Larimer Street. The driver sounded a horn to avert the accident, but it wasn't enough. The 72-year-old cyclist was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, reports 9News. Cyclists, according to an exception under the law, are allowed to ride on the mall on Sundays. But the accident may lead to a total ban of bicycles, according to CBS4.
