Will Microsoft's New Shop Be as Trendy as the Apple Store?

Will the scores of people checking out iPads in Colorado's Apple stores check out the new Microsoft store? Or do Microsoft users finally have a trendy place of their own? Those are the big questions that linger, as Microsoft chief operating officer Kevin Turner attends a ribbon-cutting today at the Park Meadows outpost, one of just three such stores in the nation (via 9News). Similar to Apple stores, the Microsoft shop will offer more than products like Xbox gaming systems. Training sessions will also be available so that users can improve their skills. The first 1,000 shoppers inside for the 10 a.m. opening will receive two free tickets to see Demi Lovato of Disney Channel fame in a concert to be held inside the store at 3 p.m. Saturday, notes Westword. The first 100 may also have a chance to meet Lovato after the show.
