Congrats to the Colorado Book Award Winners

The Colorado Humanities and Center for the Book announced its winners for the Colorado Book Award in Aspen on Friday, recognizing "the finest literary talent in the state and nation." Among the winners, according to a news release, were the anthology/collection A Dozen on Denver: Stories, edited by the now-defunct Rocky Mountain News, and the creative nonfiction Just Like Us: The True Story of Four Mexican Girls Coming of Age in America by Helen Thorpe, the wife of Mayor John Hickenlooper. 5280 contributing editor Laura Pritchett was also nominated in the General Nonfiction category for editing Going Green: True Tales from Gleaners, Scavengers, and Dumpster Divers.
