DIY Style: Designing Pillows With Fancy Tiger

I wish I would have known that our couch was a gateway drug. As one of our more-than-generous wedding gifts, my fiance and I have picked out our first new (read: not purchased from a yard sale) couch. We are ridiculously proud of it. If visitors don't immediately take note, we promptly introduce them to the newest cushioned member of our family. Now everything has changed. Friends began educating me on the design wonders of pillows. Pillows! Suddenly I found myself obsessing at Etsy, scrolling through vintage fabrics and holding the computer up to the couch to see if certain colors match. Then I realized I would save money and be more original by taking one of the pillow-making classes offered by Fancy Tiger this summer. The Art Quilt Pillow class instructs on embroidering, log-cabin piecing, and applique. Classes are held on Saturday, July 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, August 8 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Fancy Tiger's crafting location, 1 S. Broadway. Cost is $40. Fancy Tiger, 303-733-3855
