Saturday marked the beginning of EatDenver‘s third-annual Harvest Week celebration. I kicked off the event by grabbing a table at Solera and dining on local goat-cheese ravioli with Palisade peaches and pan-fried Colorado trout with corn, pea, and barley succotash. This celebration of Colorado products (everything from produce and spirits to honey and meats) continues through August 27. If you haven’t already, check out the menus from the 53 participating restaurants, and form a game plan. I like the sound of Root Down‘s eight-spice Colorado leg of lamb; whiskey-baked, blue cheese–stuffed plums; crispy shallots; and stone-fruit chutney. I’d also like to try Z Cuisine À Côté‘s potato and Haystack chèvre curd with farm-duck egg gnocchi, gently pan-seared and served with Hazel Dell tree oyster mushrooms, baby carrots, Colorado asparagus, and Camembert MouCo fondue. And I’m definitely stopping by The Lobby American Grille for an apricot-mint Mojito with Downslope Distilling‘s cane vodka. Contest: Have someone take a photo of you dining at any participating restaurant (make sure to include the Harvest Week menu in the picture), upload it to their Facebook page, and tag yourself. The diner with the most tags wins 12 gift certificates (expiring August 2011) to EatDenver restaurants. Upload all photos by September 3.
