Update: Satchel's Market

Just as our September issue hit newsstands, we learned that Satchel's Market, which we reviewed on page 138, is closing at the end of the month.

This is a shame because the north Park Hill spot, which has been a brunch favorite of ours for years—and became a go-to-dinner spot—garnered much-deserved buzz from us, as well as Westword and The Denver Post.

Owner Andrew Casalini says lease issues are to blame—and he's reopening Satchel's (albeit with a downsized menu focused on wine, small plates, espresso, and dessert) at East Sixth Avenue and Gilpin Street. Look for the new rendition (called Satchel's on 6th) to open in November.

In the meantime, grab a brunch or dinner reservation at Satchel's while you can.
