The It Factor for Denver: Spring 2011 will be the second season Denver fashionistas have direct access to Zac Posen’s lower-priced line, Z Spoke. Look for blouses and T-shirts in whimiscal prints, flirty denim skirts, and tailored, feminine jackets.
The Gist of It: This may be Posen’s more moderately priced line, but his spring collection makes clear that even Z Spoke is not for the faint of heart. His colorful show of flirty frocks, boldly printed blouses, Lurex knits, fitted jackets, rompers, short shorts, and narrow trousers included Posen signatures, like ruffles, lace, corsets, and strategic cutouts (in a black finale gown). But the best looks are those that boast the designer’s knack for tailoring, while keeping the novelty prints and flourish in check.
Look for It At: Available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, 2900 E. First Ave., 303-393-6333
