OK, fall. Your chilly winds and low temps have convinced me you’re here to stay. I’ll succumb, but only because I can warm up with a bowl of soup.

Depending on the day, I find comfort in the anise-spiked pho from Pho-Natic, the French onion-style cebolla gratinado from El Diablo, or the cozy, chicken matzo ball from Deli Tech or Zaidy’s Deli. And now, thanks to a soup rollout at Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, one of the best fast-casual concepts to come out of Denver, there are more options.

I’ve tasted Garbanzo’s four offerings—lemon chicken and orzo, spinach and rice, Mediterranean lentil, and roasted eggplant—and would go back for seconds of each. But, I especially liked the lemony undertones of the spinach and rice, as well as the heartiness of the lentil.

Bonus: All four varieties are dairy-free, while the spinach and rice, Mediterranean lentil, and roasted eggplant options are also vegan. The roasted eggplant and the spinach and rice are gluten-free, too.

Multiple locations.
