Hope on the Slopes

Get your ski buds together for a day of skiing and riding all dedicated to kicking the crap out of cancer. All the money raised will benefit the American Cancer Society, and prizes will be awarded to the fundraising winner and sindividual who skies the most vertical feet on the mountain based on a bar code tracking system on each run. It doesn't hurt that the lift tickets are only $45. Sat 9 a.m.

Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics

Raise the funds and take the plunge to benefit one of the more than 11,000 Special Olympic athletes across the state. The more money you raise, the more prizes you can win, and the more people you help. Expect a big crowd cheering you on and plenty of warm blankets to meet you after the daunting jump into the frigid waters. Life in a Marital Institution

This darkly humorous autobiographical play follows James as he sits with his dying sister and discusses a wish to change places in life. The odd hospice setting adds to the poignant comedy as James' sister decides that being on her death bed is choice to being married. Enjoy the exploration of the roots of familial and romantic love, infidelity, and the construction of the marriage trap. Sat 8 p.m.; Sun 2 p.m.
