Highly Anticipated: Satchel's on 6th

Back in September, we reviewed Satchel's Market in north Park Hill—just a few short weeks before it closed unexpectedly. I've missed the spot, so I'm happy to report that Satchel's on 6th (a dialed-down version of the original restaurant) will open on Saturday, April 9.

Owner Andrew Casalini and executive chef Jared Brant (whom Casalini hired away from Bones) have created an intimate space with 50 seats and a tight menu of about a dozen offerings, including lamb belly confit and a spring-like asparagus salad with country-style ham, poached egg, and ricotta cheese.

I haven't tasted anything just yet, but given Brant's talent, I expect the short rib meatloaf and house-made pickles are destined to become neighborhood favorites.
