New Menu Preview: Bistro Vendôme

Jennifer Jasinski is still the face of Bistro Vendôme, but a new chef de cuisine is shaking up the eight-year-old restaurant's menu. Dana Rodriguez—who worked her way from a dishwasher at Panzano to sous chef and partner at Rioja—will showcase her culinary wits when the new lineup debuts at the end of the month.

My recommendation: Start with the pickled radish salad, a summery combo of crunchy radishes, sweet strawberries, and tangy feta. Then move to the duck duet; the plate of duck-liver pâté and duck leg confit gets a boost of freshness from arugula, grapes, and pickled red onion.
