The Craving: Rockbar's Korn Nuts

After all the ruckus surrounding Rockbar's "gentrification" (aka installing TVs and bringing on ex-Barolo Grill chef Brian Laird to do a full menu), it was time to head over there myself. Rest assured, folks, Jesse Morreale's bar is as divey as ever and, aside from the addition of a couple televisions and a ginormous patio, it looks exactly the same.

The menu is bar food at its best: burgers piled high with toppings, corn dogs, Sloppy Joes, wings, onion rings, and the best damn corn nuts (spelled with a k and a backwards r) ever. These deep-fried, crunchy nuggets are shaken with lime zest and Laird's secret spice blend. Salty, tangy, and a tad spicy, they're the ideal snack with Rockbar's $2 PBRs.

Bonus: While the weather is still warm, check out the new patio—all 120 seats of it.
