Must See: El Sicario, Room 164

If you missed one of the showings of El Sicario, Room 164 (view trailer) at the Starz Denver Film Festival this weekend, make sure to add it your must-rent list. The film gives a chilling look into the mind and career of a Mexican drug cartel hired sicario (Spanish for hitman). Director Gianfranco Rosi spoke uninterrupted with this nameless former killer for two days in a hotel room.

His raw descriptions of 20 years worth of kidnappings, rapes, and murders (victims were picked by his cartel bosses) are paired with drawings and physical reenactments of the crimes. El sicario keeps his face hidden as his run from the law includes a $250,000 prize for his head.
