Gift Idea: Lacoste Holiday Collector’s Series Polos

Every year, Lacoste commissions a guest designer to reimagine its iconic L.12.12 polo shirt as part of its Holiday Collector’s Series. For 2011, Lacoste partnered with American designer Jonathan Adler on a line of limited-edition polos using contemporary twists on traditional needlepoint techniques (a craft Adler often employs in his own design work). The Special Edition Polos feature an oversize crocodile logo in some of Adler’s favorite patterns and colors taken from his own needlepoint pillows, along with matching sporty stripes. The Denver edition polos (men's only) will be available in five colors, all packaged in a needlepoint pillowcase emblazoned with—what else?—a large white crocodile.
