New Obsession: 34° Sweet Crisps

When 34° Crisps launched in 2007, the cracker immediately became my go-to accompaniment for cheese plates, appetizers, and snacks. To this day I love the texture, the delicate flavor, and how the crispbreads deliver their snap and then get out of the way of the toppings—whatever they may be.

Now, there's more to enjoy: A couple weeks ago, the Denver-based company launched a sweet line. Part cookie, part cracker, these wafers come in caramel, chocolate, cinnamon, and graham (pictured). They're almost pizzelle-like and they work as well with ice cream or almond butter as they do with a dollop of Fruition Farms ricotta and tart orange marmalade.

The flavors are recognizable but not overpowering and I like that the crisps are lighter and healthier than traditional cookies. (A serving size is seven or eight for about 60 calories).

My pantry now includes the full sweet line, as well as several boxes of the savory. And though I'm hard pressed to pick a favorite, I love the dessert-like quality of the caramel (this also happens to be 34° founder Craig Lieberman's top pick). I'm also mildly obsessed with topping the chocolate with blue cheese.
