Discovery: Chicago-Style Hot Dog—in a Bottle

About a month ago, local hot sauce guru Danny Cash was working on a new, top-secret project. He wouldn’t divulge any details but described his creation as “revolutionary." Now, he’s lifted the curtain and unveiled Chidawgo: everything you’d find on a Chicago-style hot dog, in a bottle.

Cash spent time in North Chicago and knows Windy City dogs. He also knows the nuisance of maintaining all the ingredients. So he consolidated the essence of yellow mustard, neon green relish, chopped onion, tomato wedges, pickle spear, two sport peppers, and celery salt into one bottle. The result is hot dog perfection.

I tested Chidawgo over a cold Oscar Meyer dog on a highly processed bun, and loved it. If Cash can make the cheap stuff work, he explained, he knows he’s got a good product.

Only a few weeks into Chidawgo’s release, Cash anticipates the sauce being his biggest sell yet. He’s already shipping to hot dog vendors across the city and foresees nationwide expansion. Stop by Danny Cash Hot Shop to sample the latest creation for yourself.

While you’re there: Pick up a supply of Bottled Up Anger, the ever-popular, habanero-garlic hot sauce that jumpstarted Cash’s empire.
