USA Pro Cycling Challenge: Timmy Duggan, Stage 6

Timmy Duggan's hometown showed up. As he stayed near the front all the way through Stage 6, fans lined the roads around Boulder and his new stomping grounds in Nederland. Duggan said Stage 6 was where he'd wanted to put on a show. But it was another Boulderite who took the win at Flagstaff. As riders began to lose their gusto up the final climb, Rory Sutherland kept pedaling circles up to the top. Check out Sutherland's Stage 6 analysis here. The 2011 USA Pro Cycling Challenge winner, Levi Leipheimer, was just a few spots behind him giving the reigning champion the yellow jersey.

With the help of Lafayette-based analysis company, TrainingPeaks, we're giving you a daily dose of the stats on Duggan's performance. The analysis monitors everything from power to heart rate, speed, elevation, distance, and pace.

NAME: Timmy Duggan, Liquigas-Cannondale

RANK: 22nd overall, 5th in Stage 6

STAGE 6 SUMMARY: Timmy Duggan had it out for Stage 6. His quick start in the breakaway group was a day-long effort. He had a 10-minute peak in power at the beginning of the race in an effort to distance the 14-man group from the peloton. Even after a day spent in the lead group, Duggan had enough left in him to crank out up to 655 watts climbing Flagstaff Mountain.

DUGGAN'S STAGE 6 HIGHLIGHTS:
