Even if you missed Denver Burger Battle last month, you can still taste the winning entry. First-time contestant Larkburger swayed judges Jenna Johansen, Max MacKissock, Daniel Asher, and Hosea Rosenberg with its cheddar bacon truffle burger (pictured). Now, for a limited time, the local burger chain has added the sandwich to its regular menu. The burger's richness comes from truffle aïoli that offers just enough decadence without overpowering the other flavors. (This is no easy feat.). Meanwhile, strips of salty, crispy bacon stand up to the truffle and Tillamook cheddar adds tang. The result is a compulsively delicious meal that's deserving of honors.
