Product Pick: Todd Reed Men’s Collection

Men’s jewelry is a tricky proposition, as the usual suspects are rocker pieces (think skull rings and arrowhead pendants) or surfer staples like wood bead bracelets. And at some point, guys, you are going to outgrow these looks. Which is why, when Boulder-based jeweler Todd Reed announced he was launching his first full-scale men’s collection, we lined up to see the results.

Until now, Reed—who has been refining his distinct design aesthetic for the last 20 years and is a favorite among jewelry collectors around the world—has mainly focused on women's pieces. Impressively, this new men’s collection includes 50 designs and incorporates signatures like raw diamonds, mixed metals (including titanium, palladium, blackened sterling silver, and yellow gold), and bold shapes with clean and balanced proportions for jewelry that is distinctly masculine. The collection ranges from substantial rings (pictured)—either unadorned or pierced with rows of raw diamonds—to Reed’s version of a dog tag in a combination of metals with a patina that simultaneously feels both weathered and modern.

Prices start at $400; Todd Reed, 2015 Pearl St., Boulder, 303-442-6280
