As someone who has spent the better part of the last year living in the heart of Burgundy—and having been fortunate enough to drink some of the very best wines the region has to offer—I can attest that the lineup for this year’s Burgundy Wine Festival in Boulder is bananas-amazing. Whether simply curious about the region or a bona fide Burghound, get there for some or all of the weekend of October 27–28.
First, there is the opportunity to sample some truly extraordinary wines from the likes of the jewel of Morey-Saint-Denis, Domaine Dujac. But, what’s more, organizer Brett Zimmerman, a master sommelier and owner of Boulder Wine Merchant, has mustered together a tour de force of a Burgundy brain trust to make the otherwise complicated wine region the simply delicious trip it should be. Expect sommelier superstars such as Rajat Parr of San Francisco’s the Mina Group, Eric Railsback of San Francisco’s RN74, Robert Bohr of Gran Cru Wine Consulting, Richard Betts (a superstar master sommelier, winemaker, and troublemaker from Boulder), along with Paul Wasserman, who’s essentially of Burgundian royalty, and Jeremy Seysses of that aforementioned Domaine Dujac, whose combination of inspired winemaking and good humor will enthrall and astound. If I sound like I’m gushing, I am. I'm telling you, it’s that magnifique.

Boulder Events
I'm the anti-wine snob and will pretty much drink anything with alcohol in it. That being said, I wouldn't mind refining my palate with a legitimate wine-tasting event held by the owner of Boulder Wine Merchant.
