Fashion Notes: Adorn, AlexBlake.com, and Hyde Park Jewelers

’Tis the season for giving (well, almost), so start it off right with an event that combines fashion with the chance to do some good. On Sunday, November 11, stylists from the Parlour Hair Salon will host Adorn (a shot from last year's event is above), a hair show benefitting the Chloe Bug Foundation. Chloe is a three-year-old with Down syndrome and a heart condition; at just five weeks old, during necessary heart surgery, she suffered cardiac arrest that left her with permanent brain damage. Support Chloe and her family while enjoying fashion from Goldyn, fine jewelry from local design team the Woods (read more about the line here), food from CafeBar, and music by Joshua Novak. Tickets start at $25. 6:30 p.m.; City Hall, 1144 Broadway, 303-832-8628

If you're tired of staring at a drawer full of basic black and nude stockings, I've got the solution: Britain’s alexblake.com, which recently relaunched in the United States. The site is chock full of options for dressing up your gams, from staples by American hosiery brands like Donna Karan and Hanes to luxe European lines Falke and Givenchy. But if you really want to up the ante in the legwear game, look for creative patterns by hard-to-find names like Celeste Stein, House of Holland for Pretty Polly, and Aristoc (check out the Swarovski backseam tights). You can also browse shapewear and leggings, specialty items like maternity and bridal stockings, and extra-tall and plus sizes.

James Bond fans have more to celebrate than just a new movie. This month sees the opening of the new Omega Boutique at Hyde Park Jewelers. Yes, 007’s watch brand of choice now has its own store in Denver. Hyde Park, which has carried the 164-year-old Swiss watchmaker since 2009, is the first independent jeweler in the United States to open an Omega location. In celebration of Bond’s 50th anniversary, the boutique will have a collection of watches associated with the super spy. My pick: the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Skyfall limited edition watch, a 42mm ceramic and polished stainless steel diving timepiece (price upon request). If that’s a little too dangerous (at least for your bank account), check out more than 300 other men’s and women’s watches. Cherry Creek Shopping Center, 3000 E. First Ave., 303-647-4137
