What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Girl Scouts? We're willing to bet it comes in a green box and, when consumed with a cold glass of milk, is pretty much the most satisfying treat ever. The organization's annual cookie drive is a major part of its funding. And while we're all about the yearly Thin Mint binge (though, for us, it's the Samoa that drains our willpower), the Girl Scouts of Colorado can use your help in other ways, too.
With programs such as weekend camps, community service projects, and bullying prevention, Girl Scouts helps build courage, confidence, and character for more than 15,000 girls, kindergarten through 12th grade, in the Denver Metro area. Some members are financially disadvantaged or have at-risk backgrounds; some are even in juvenile detention centers. These critical programs, however, need skilled adult volunteers. Good with event planning or marketing? You can help with programming. Are you an accountant or just great with numbers? Lend a hand with the annual cookie program.
Visit the Girl Scouts Thursday during their Cool Science event at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Sign up to watch the girls discover the magic of dry ice, explore the interesting aspects of a space suit, and more.

In the mid wigs1600s very elaborate periwigs became popular for men of social status to wear in the English and French court. The word “wig” is the shortened version of “periwig”. Due wig to the popularity of wigs, a wig makers guild was formed in 1665 in France. This soon spread to other parts of Europe. The longer, more elaborate wigs were for those of the highest social status and required a lot of skill and patience to construct.

The girl scouts are definitely a great organization to be a part of. They have been doing such a great job in Colorado for a long time. Great for your kids to take part of this group. There is nothing better then this.
