Editor’s Notes: Custom Cowboy Boots, Grand Salon, and a Wedding Showcase

Regardless of whether you’re going to rope a steer at the National Western Stock Show (January 12–27) or are just in the market for a new pair of luxe, custom cowboy boots, head to Cry Baby Ranch's Liberty Boot Co. trunk show. Owner and designer Tony Benattar is hauling in old favorites and new additionslike the Lucha Libre (pictured, above, $998). Clients can customize the boots with choices of color (there are more than 20 available), type of skin, accents, and toe box and heel styles.

Details: Saturday, January 12, 7 p.m., Cry Baby Ranch, 1421 Larimer St., 303-623-3979

After nearly eight years as a LoDo favorite, Grand Salon owner Shelly Rewinkle has been lured to LoHi. The hair shop is relocating on Friday, January 11 to spacious, 3,800-square-foot digs. Why it's a good move: The salon's industrial interior with warm wood accents now has room for comfy, state-of-the-art shampoo bowls (clients will be able to lay flat for a comfortable head scrub), and—major bonus—there's free parking. Other services include a blow dry bar, mani and pedi stations, an expanded jewelry and accessory boutique, and a rotating art gallery that will change every two months. Starting this spring, you’ll be able to bring your man along for some pampering when Grand starts offering barber services (cuts and hot razor shaves) for him.

Details: New hours are Tue-Thu 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Fri 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sat 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; 3501 Kalamath St., 303-572-1435

Wedding season is upon us, and this month brides-to-be can discover everything from decor ideas to the latest in bridal fashion at the 2nd Annual Wedding Showcase and Fashion Show on Sunday, January 20. Attendees will be treated to four themed wedding vignettes (Urban Sophisticate, Fresh and Flirty, Classic Fashionista, and Uptown Country), a wide array of vendors—think gowns from Anna Bé and Blue Bridal Boutique,  floral arrangements by Bouquets, and cakes from Azucar Bakery and Cakeheads—bites from Epicurean Catering, and a fashion show (starting at 2 p.m.).

Details: Tickets are $15; 1-3 p.m., Seawell Grand Ballroom, Denver Center for Performing Arts Complex, Speer Boulevard and Arapahoe Street, 303-572-4466
