Panzano‘s lead bartender Jodi Dolph created two cocktails with which to cheer on the Broncos. Sip these drinks at the downtown restaurant or make them at home.

Hurry! Hurry! Sazerac (pictured)

This cocktail celebrates PFM’s Tennessee and Louisiana roots.

1.3 ounces George Dickel Rye Whiskey

1 sugar cube or 3/4 ounce simple syrup

several dashes of Peychaud’s Bitters

Absinthe or another anise-flavored spirit

lemon twist

Add ice to an old fashioned glass. Let chill while making drink. In a mixing glass or shaker, muddle the sugar or simple syrup with the bitters. Add ice and rye whiskey and stir. Discard ice from glass and add a small amount of absinthe. Swirl in glass and discard excess. Strain whiskey mixture into glass. Zest the lemon twist into glass and leave on the side of the glass as a garnish.

A cocktail honoring PFM’s alma mater (the University of Tennessee) and Bronco orange.

1.75 ounces Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey

1 slice fresh orange

2 dashes orange bitters

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Combine ingredients and serve on the rocks.
