“Where Smiles Grow Up”
Spending an afternoon with Drs.Pankratz and Urbaniak is fun, entertaining and sometimes even downright silly. But when it comes to taking care of kids’ teeth, they are serious about providing the best possible care from their first visit at age 1 through their college years.
For these doctors, pediatric dentistry and orthodontics is a calling. They love what they do, and they have the interest of their patients---along with their parents---at heart. Over the past 25 years, the team approach to taking care of kids---dental and orthodontic—is pretty remarkable and what makes the office special.
“It’s the ability to communicate regarding any situation,” Dr. Pankratz said. “For instance, one of my patients was recently hit in the mouth with a hockey puck. Luckily, he was wearing braces and I was able to consult immediately with my colleague, Dr. Urbaniak, regarding a treatment plan for saving the teeth.” Dr. Urbaniak added, “Together we decide on the appropriate treatment and follow up. That only happens when you have a team of pediatric dentists and an orthodontist working together.”
Dr. Pankratz’s main focus is putting patients at ease and listening to their concerns. Educating children and their parents about proper dental hygiene is important, and he does his best to make sure kids understand why they need to brush their teeth.
As a recent patient summed up her experience, “This place is amazing as always. If I wrote down how I would want the appointment to go for my children, I wouldn’t have written it as well as they did!”
