When it comes to all things home, there's a reason Pinterest, Houzz, and HGTV are so popular—we can't get enough of finding inspiration in other people's houses and projects. (OK, and drooling over homes, finishes, and decor that are out of our reach.) Over the coming weeks, there are plenty of local tours and events to help fuel your nesting habit. See below and mark your calendar: Whether you opt to check out Boulder's hottest kitchens or take a walk through a new build with historic charm in Wash Park, you're bound to find fresh, creative ideas to apply to your own home.

Wishing you had a bigger budget—or even a new space—to work with? Try your luck in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver's sixth annual Dream House Raffle, and you might find yourself opening your doors to envious visitors on a home tour someday. The grand prize, a $2.5 million, 5,800-square-foot custom home in Cherry Creek boasts four bedrooms, a wine cellar, a theater, a veggie garden, separate his-and-hers master bathrooms, and a gourmet kitchen (pictured at left). Other prizes (more than 1,100 in all) include cash, cars, vacations, and electronics. Get your tickets ($150 each) online by this Friday, April 18, to be eligible for the second and final early bird drawing. (The deadline for the grand prize drawing is May 16.) Even if your dwelling dreams don't come true, you can feel good about helping make those of local children a reality, as the raffle is BGCMD's largest fundraiser of the year.
