Cilantro is a versatile herb with perfect zest for meats and poultry, guacamole and…cocktails? If you need convincing, sip on Pinche Taqueria’s house-made Cilantro-Lime soda. Only $3 during Pinche’s happy hour (3 to 6 p.m. daily, and all night on Mondays), this drink is sweet and deceivingly strong. Pinche infuses Everclear with lime zest and cilantro stems and leaves. The light green infusion sits for at least four days before it’s ready for to serve. Drinkers beware: The herbal taste of cilantro, mellowed out by slightly sour lime undertones, successfully masks the liquor.

Tip: The soda pairs well with an order of the Victory Club Nachos (chips layered with barbacoa, pico de gallo, avocado crema, and sour cream), which are $5 on the happy hour menu.
