The Wizard's Hand

Shine’s potions contain a little bit of magic.

Andy Bottagaro makes magic. Not the kind in which rabbits are pulled from hats, but rather as the “potion maker” at Boulder’s Shine Restaurant. Bottagaro crafts an array of elixirs designed to rebalance your well-being. Need to get stuff done? Sip the focus-inducing Owl Eyes (made with ginger, yerba maté, and red ginseng). Or, give a bad day an about-face with the Reset Button (sassafras bark, sarsaparilla root, burdock root). Potions that can turn your mood around? It might sound a little bit silly, but the outcome (be it from the herbs and essences or simply from being proactive) is a positive one. Bonus: They taste good. 2027 13th St., Boulder, 303-449-0120, shineboulder.com
