Colorado Independent Women of Film
No, this isn't a chick flick marathon. It's a three-day festival featuring 37 independent films created by Colorado women. Catch short films, animations, music videos, experimental works, trailers, and web-based programming. Our pick: Sarah R. Lofti's short, The Last Bogatyr, which centers on a Russian "Bogatyr," or epic hero, who leaves on the eve of his wedding to fight for the Red Army during WWII. Two years later, he risks crossing enemy lines to return home. Stick around after each showing to chat with the filmmakers. Thu-Fri 7:30 p.m.; Sat 4 p.m., 7 p.m.
