You don't need a passport to visit Asia and the Pacific when you can immerse yourself in the culture during the 11th year of this festival. Get there early for the opening ceremony—a costume-filled parade and a 75-foot long dancing dragon; cheer for the dragon boat races with more than 50 teams participating this year; and enjoy many other cultural demonstrations, food vendors, and kid's activities all centered around this year's theme: "Gambare", which means "persevere" in Japanese. Sat 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sun 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Date: Jul 30, 2011 10:00 am - Jul 31, 2011 5:00 pm
