Denver Silent Film Festival
Forget the fantastical CGI animation of the 21st century and journey back to the so-called Golden Age of film—silent, black-and-white pictures filled with bowler caps and exaggerated expressions. The opening night gala's speakeasy theme (taste MillerCoors pre-prohibition-style lager, Batch 19) will set the tone for three nights of classics, including Charlie Chaplin flicks (pictured: The Kid), a screening of Cyrano de Bergerac, and comedic shorts. Fri-Sun, times vary.
