Join thousands of Denverites wearing pink for one of Colorado's most popular fundraising events. Denver's event—celebrating its 20th anniversary—is part of a larger effort by the Susan G. Komen foundation to help thousands of patients through a 5K walk/run or 1-mile family stroll followed by a survivor ceremony. Sun 6-9 a.m.


Pikes Peak Road Ascent 10K

Your lungs will feel like an inferno and your calves will beg you to quit, but being surrounded by panoramic views of Pikes Peak will make you push just a bit farther. This 10K road race begins on Pikes Peak Highway and ascends at an average grade of five to eight percent just past Crystal Reservoir. Test your mettle—and lung capacity—on one of America's most infamous mountains. Sun 7 a.m.

Golden Gallop

Golden's historic "Welcome" arch might want to change its words to "Where the West Run" come October. Golden's biggest foot race explodes beneath the city's infamous arch and finishes in Parfet Park near Clear Creek. This year's new loop has participants running 5.280 miles around downtown limits of Golden. Proceeds benefit the Golden School Foundation, which strives to achieve excellence, high performance, and accountability in Golden schools. Sat 8 a.m.

Gourmet Food Truck & Tailgate Party

Why argue over where to eat? All kinds of tasty goodness will arrive in one tailgate-savvy location in the Highland, providing a wide range of edible options, a day of music, and fun. Be on the lookout for local favorites like Hey PB&J (gourmet and grilled PB&J sandwiches) and the Tasterie Truck (desserts galore). Sun 12-8 p.m.

Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival

Tour Breckenridge's historic pubs and watering holes, play in a poker run, and gear up for this year's premier craft spirits event. The Still on the Hill event is the pinnacle of the weekend with distillers like Stranahan's, Syntax Spirits, and Peach Street Distillers showcasing their finest spirits. Take a break from imbibing with $18.59 seasonal dinners at local restaurants then recover in the morning after at one of the hangover brunches at Columbine Café, Fatty's, Mi Casa, Ollies Pub and Grub, or Salt Creek. The brewers will educate on their processes and methodologies while you enjoy the flirty fun of the Clockettes.
