JAAMM Festival

Artisic renderings from the bible, string quartets, book readings, jazz music, and independent film have all come together for this celebration of Jewish artistic culture. This three-week festival will feature artists, authors, music, and movies from Marc Chagall, The Jerusalem Quartet, Julie Orringer, and many more. Wed 7:30 p.m.

Beginning Knitting

Don't be a nit-wit about knitting. This beginner's course will teach you how to purl, cast on, and cast off. Plus, you'll learn to read a simple pattern and decipher yarn labels and abbreviations. Bonus: Get started on your very own scarf and keep your paws busy at home. Wed 6-8 p.m.; price includes all materials. 

Provocations

Put spray paint, ceiling dancers, and bacon together and what do you get? A supportive gathering of the local arts community includes a show-and-tell style evening event with more than 20 Denver-photographers, musicians, performers, fashion designers, and filmmakers. The artist known as PaintGardner Spray Paint will host raffle giveaways and demonstrate their unique art form on the patio while an aerial performer dances overhead. PinkTank, the bacon-loving food truck will feed hungry onlookers breakfast food throughout the evening.

Comedians Shayna Ferm and Karen Slack have declared a mom’s night out! This “parentally incorrect” live comedy talk show will give you permission to laugh as these women say all the things you wish you could. Come for some Mother’s Milk (white Russian), raffle prizes, plenty of audience participation, and…wait for it…a real, live pumping station! And in case you didn’t already know: no kids allowed! Wed 8-10 p.m.
