Design by Colorado

Chairs, tables, and even skis get the Rocky Mountain treatment in this hometown exhibit. An extention of the showing at the Denver International Airport, "Design by Colorado" spotlights 14 local designers who put a Colorado spin on furniture, toys, recreational gear, and interior and fashion design. Featured artists include the Corvelo Clothing Company, Jason E. Kay, Where Wood Meets Steel, and Icelantic Skis, among others. Thu-Sun 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Wine and Brine: Thanksgiving Tasting

Selecting wine for a holiday can be a little daunting. Most of us strive only to not get it wrong. This year set your sights higher and go for right. The wine, cheese, and meat pros at Cured in Boulder have done the taste testing for us and selected four proper matches. Each bottle has been selected to complement the roast turkey and porchetta they will be serving. Thu 4-7 p.m.

 

Beaujolais and Beyond Food & Wine Festival

Colorado Francophiles unite to welcome the arrival of this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau wine with style. The red varietal, made from Gamay grapes in France, is released annually on the third Thursday in November. In celebration, more than 20 local chefs will create dishes to be paired with seasonal drink. Enjoy live aerial entertainment from Imagination Circus Arts while you indulge. Thu 5:30-9:30 p.m.





Chef & Brew Festival

We've always known the power of a beer and hot dog combo, but this event elevates food and brew pairings to gourmet heights. A dozen chefs and Colorado breweries have teamed up to satisfy your taste buds.

Holiday Mixology Class

A cocktail upon arrival can make a guest feel instantly welcome. Hone your skills with a two-hour mixology course teaching crowd pleasers such as lemon drop martinis and premium margaritas. Students will be able to sample their concoctions alongside a selection of hors d'oeuvres including bacon-wrapped scallop skewers, ahi tuna tartare tacos, and filet mignon sandwiches. Thu 6-8 p.m.

This Boulder-based, reggae-pop-rock band formed in 1987 and hurtled along a roller-coaster ride of fame in the '90, self-producing albums and headlining for iconic bands such as Phish. The band has split and taken on multiple new members in the 25 years since its inception—until two years ago, when the original five regrouped and returned to the Front Range music scene. Thu 9 p.m.
